What is the Choi Pen Technique in DHI?
The Choi Pen is one of the newest techniques in hair transplantation in Turkey and the world. Also known as Choi Implanter Pen or DHI Pen, the DHI Implanter Pen is an instrument with a hollow needle in the end with 0.5-1.5 mm width. This hollow needle has a plunger at the very end. Once the follicle is put into the sharp hollow needle, the doctor will inject the needle into the scalp and by pressing the plunger, the graft will be implanted into the tissue.
In one operation doctors use 2-6 DHI pens at the same time. Doctors use different pens according to the size of the grafts with one, two or three follicles.
